Buff Bagwell Wants To Wrestle Again: ‘I Think I Can Pull This Off’ And ‘Have One Good Match’

Buff Bagwell believes he can wrestle again following his right leg amputation last July, and he has set his sights on making it happen in TNA.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bagwell shared the moment during a recent physical therapy session that convinced him a return to the ring was within reach and outlined what he has learned about competing with his new physical reality.

“I was getting down on the floor and getting up pretty good in the session, and I started thinking, if I can get down and get up, I can wrestle again. So, Tommy called me and I went to the TNA taping. We put it out there. Next week, I’ll be getting in the ring for the first time for me. Within a few minutes of physical therapy, two things I learn real quick, I needed two elbow pads, and I need one kneepad. I really think I can do this. On flat ground, I think I can pull this off and at least have one good match for somebody, and I hope it’s TNA,” Bagwell said.

Bagwell has already been making appearances in wrestling since the amputation, showing up at Memphis Wrestling and TNA. He appeared on the March 26 episode of TNA iMPACT in a segment alongside Frankie Kazarian and Elijah, continuing to maintain a presence in the industry as he works toward a potential return to competition.
