Contract for TNA Star Is About To Expire

TNA has another talent contract that will be ending at the end of 2024.

AJ Francis, formerly known as Top Dolla in WWE, is that star. After playing as a defensive lineman in the NFL, he signed with WWE in 2020 before being paired with Hit Row in NXT the following May. Hit Row was called up and placed on SmackDown in October 2021.

WWE released Francis, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, and B-Fab in November 2021. However, WWE later brought back Francis, Adonis, and B-Fab for a run on SmackDown the following August.

Francis was let go in September 2023, while Adonis and B-Fab remain signed to WWE. Francis would later join TNA Wrestling, winning his first title, the TNA Digital Media Championship in May 2024.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Francis’ contract expires with TNA at the end of 2024 unless there is a new deal reached. He has worked his last contracted dates so far. Both sides are said to have enjoyed working together with the idea of an extension being possible.

Tommy Dreamer pushed Francis to get an opportunity in TNA, leading to a contract being offered. This past weekend, Francis fell short when he challenged Nic Nemeth for the TNA Title. He received great praise within TNA and from the fans in attendance for his performance.
