– TNA has announced that World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards will be defending his title on Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling. TNA is teasing that Edwards could face Bobby Lashley, Ethan Carter III or a mystery opponent.

– TNA will be holding its first TV taping of the new year this Thursday night in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios. The company will film 12 episodes of Impact Wrestling as well Xplosion episodes and will air a One Night Only PPV live on Friday. The One Night Only PPV will be available to watch via traditional PPV outlets and the Fite App. Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling will be on a tape delay. Here is the schedule for the tapings:
* Thursday 1/5 at 7 pm EST will be a “live” Impact Wrestling, airing on a tape delay the same night.
* Friday 1/6 beginning at 7 pm EST will be a live One Night Only PPV airing at 8 pm EST.
* Saturday 1/7 at 1 pm
* Saturday 1/7 at 7 pm
* Sunday 1/8 at 1 pm
* Sunday 1/8 at 7 pm
* Tuesday 1/10 at 6 pm
* Wednesday 1/11 at 6 pm
* Thursday 1/12 at 6 pm
