Eric Young won the Impact Wrestling World Championship from Eddie Edwards on tonight’s AXS TV broadcast.
Young was able to win the title after using a hockey mask to hit Edwards while the referee was distracted. Young followed up with the piledriver.
Young attacked Edwards after the match as referees and security ran out to stop him from causing further damage to Edwards’ knee.
This is Young’s third world title in the promotion. Prior to tonight, he was a 2-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, a 2-time X-Division Champion, and he held the Tag Team Title multiple times.
