Former ROH World Champion returned at the Impact Wrestling tapings

Impact Wrestling taped upcoming episodes of their weekly TV show on Friday night from Pines, FL. During the tapings, former ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham returned to the company.

It happened after Eddie Edwards defeated Delirious. The two wrestlers shook hands after the match, but Edwards attacked him. Jonathan Gresham made the save.

Gresham made his TNA/Impact debut at a TNA One Night Only X-Travaganza 2016 taping under his real name, losing to DJZ, and later portrayed the Suicide gimmick by defeating David Starr on the same night.

Gresham returned to the promotion to defend his ROH World Championship at Hard To Kill against Chris Sabin and defeated Steve Maclin two weeks later. He also wrestled Rocky Romero in April.

Gresham was the ROH World Champion when Tony Khan bought the promotion. He lost the title to Claudio Castagnoli at ROH Death Before Dishonor. Gresham requested his release from the company following the bout.
