One night after losing the TNA X-Division Championship at the Slammiversary pay-per-view, Moose has announced that he is taking a break from TNA Wrestling. The former world champion stated he is stepping back to get healthy and figure out his next move.
Moose Announces Hiatus From TNA
In a post on his Instagram account, Moose reflected on his TNA career and announced his decision to take a break from competition. He indicated that the hiatus is temporary and he plans to return.
“For me it’s time to take a step back…. Get healthy and see what’s next… I’ll be back soon,” he wrote.
Passing The Torch After Title Loss
The announcement followed his X-Division Championship loss to Leon Slater at last night’s Slammiversary event. In his post, Moose showed respect for the new champion and seemed to pass the torch to him.
“I’ve accomplished almost everything here at TNA Wrestling. Leon Slater, I have the ultimate respect for you and the X-Division is now in your hands….. SHOW THEM HELL,” Moose stated.
