Former WWE Champion Is Headed To TNA Slammiversary And He’s Not Going To Be Alone

On this week’s episode of TNA Impact Wrestling, a new vignette aired featuring Real1 (former Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore in WWE), who teased a potential appearance at this Sunday’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. In the video, Real1 stated he planned on showing up at the event and would be bringing some notable “friends” with him. The appearance of the video has fueled speculation that a new group may be looking to make an impact at one of TNA’s biggest shows of the year.

An Impending Invasion?

Real1 specifically mentioned he would be bringing “Heavyweight Champion Zilla Fatu.” Fatu, the son of the late WWE legend Umaga and a member of the famed Anoa’i wrestling family, is the inaugural 4th Rope Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. 4th Rope is a wrestling promotion founded in 2024 by rapper Westside Gunn, which aims to blend pro wrestling with music and art culture.

Even more intriguing was Real1’s tease that he would also be accompanied by “a Bishop.” This is widely believed to be a reference to Joshua Bishop.

Full TNA Slammiversary 2025 Card & Storylines

  • Three-Way Match for the TNA World Championship: Trick Williams (c) vs. Joe Hendry vs. Mike Santana
    • The main event stems from NXT Battleground, where Trick Williams defeated Joe Hendry to win the TNA World Championship. Since winning, Williams has disparaged TNA’s legacy, vowing to mold it into “TrickNA.” Joe Hendry was granted his official rematch, and Mike Santana was later added to the match after demanding a spot due to interference in his own previous title shot on NXT, making this a three-way showdown.
  • Title vs. Title Match: Masha Slamovich (TNA Knockouts World Champion) vs. Jacy Jayne (NXT Women’s Champion)
    • In a historic match, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne arrived in TNA and confronted TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich. After Jayne’s group, Fatal Influence, ambushed Slamovich, a Title vs. Title match was made, with the winner taking home both championships.
  • Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander
    • This match is the result of Mustafa Ali’s “downward spiral” following a loss at Rebellion. Ali’s increasingly aggressive behavior led a member of his cabinet, Tasha Steelz, to secretly call his old rival, Cedric Alexander, to intervene. A jealous Ali refused Alexander’s help and challenged him to a match.
  • Four-Way Tag Team Ladder Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship: The Nemeths (c) vs. The Hardys vs. The Rascalz vs. Fir$t Cla$$
    • Four of TNA’s premier tag teams will compete in a chaotic ladder match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
  • TNA X Division Championship Match: Moose (c) vs. Leon Slater
    • At Against All Odds, the rising star Leon Slater secured a pinfall victory over Moose in an eight-man tag team match, earning him this one-on-one opportunity for the X Division Title.
  • TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship Match: The Elegance Brand (c) vs. The IInspiration
    • The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay) made their return to TNA after three years at Against All Odds to confront the champions, The Elegance Brand, setting the stage for this championship encounter.
  • Singles Match: Tessa Blanchard vs. Indi Hartwell
    • Former TNA World Champion Tessa Blanchard will face NXT’s Indi Hartwell in a special attraction singles match.
