Former WWE NXT star signs long-term contract with Impact Wrestling

Although she made her promotional debut earlier this year, Kimber Lee has officially signed with Impact Wrestling.

The promotion made the news official on Tuesday.

“As first reported by The Hype Magazine, Kimber Lee has signed a long-term contract with Impact Wrestling. Lee makes an incredible addition to an already stacked roster, proving why Impact Wrestling’s Knockouts division is the greatest women’s division in professional wrestling today,” Impact Wrestling announced.

Lee, who was an independent wrestling standout, was signed by WWE and sent to the Performance Center to start training in January 2017. She worked under the name Abbey Laith in NXT.

Lee was a competitor in the inaugural Mae Young Classic but was released by WWE in 2018.

On the May 5th episode of Impact, she made her debut, and the following week, had her first match under the banner of the promotion by defeating Jessicka Havok.

Fast forward to last month, she took part in the Knockouts number one contender’s gauntlet match at the Slammiversary pay-per-view event. This match saw Kylie Rae emerge as victorious. Last week’s episode of Impact featured Lee losing a non-title match to Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo on last week’s Impact.
