Gail Kim Is Gone From TNA Wrestling

Gail Kim, alongside several other people, is gone from TNA Wrestling.

Kim’s WWE debut in 2002 was immediately impactful, as she captured the Women’s Championship in her first televised match. However, her initial run was cut short by her 2004 release. She then transitioned to TNA Wrestling in 2005, where she played a pivotal role in building the Knockouts Division. She became the inaugural Knockouts Champion in 2007 and engaged in memorable feuds, notably with Awesome Kong.

Her 2008 return to WWE proved disappointing, leading to her departure in 2011. Kim returned to Impact Wrestling, further strengthening her legacy by winning multiple Knockouts Championships.

She officially retired from in-ring competition in 2019 but has remained an integral part of the company as a producer and mentor, continuing to contribute to the development of women’s wrestling.

Fightful Select reported today that TNA sent out an email saying that Kim, Ariel Shnerner, Rob Kligman, and Michael Shewchenko are leaving the company. You can see the email below:

“Departing our leadership team are Ariel Shnerner, Gail Kim, Rob Klingman and Michael Shewchenko. As a long-term Anthem employee, Ariel has played an important role in growing our anthem properties, from his work with Fightf Network and most recently his focus on TNA. Ariel has been instrumental in building our storylines and growing our audiences.

Gail has had a long and stories career in TNA as both a champion wrestler and a part of the TNA leadership team, Gail has been a powerful presence in our locker room, supporting our talent and their great performances.

On the sales side Rob Kligman departs as Chief Revenue Officer and in Digital, Michael Shewchenko will be departing the organization April 30th.

In addition to these leadership departures, we also say thank you and goodbye to Karen Clevett, Sebastian Dastranj, Romy Glazer and Rafael Morffi.

Our company is built on the strength and dedication of our team and these changes do not diminish the value or the contributions of those affected.”

We will update this post when an update comes out.
