Injury update on Davey Richards

As noted, Davey Richards of The Wolves suffered a knee injury at last Sunday’s Impact Wrestling TV tapings in Birmingham, GB at the Birmingham Barclaycard Arena. TNA announced that he underwent an MRI, and the initial diagnosis was a “meniscus issue.”

In an update, Dave Meltzer noted that the injury was worse than was hoped and he will be out of action for a while.

This is a bad break for Richards and TNA because he and Eddie Edwards recently signed a new deal exclusive deal with the company. Richards has been plagued by injuries in the last couple of years. He suffered a bad concussion last July and that prevented him from flying. He was also out of action for part of 2014 with a broken leg. Sunday’s show in Birmingham was the last of the current UK tour and the last show in the recent set of TV tapings.
