Jeff Hardy says his career may be tilting more toward music in the months ahead.
During an appearance on the Ropes N Riffs podcast, Hardy reflected on his growing slate of musical opportunities and suggested a shift could be coming. “The way I feel now is like, by the end of the year, I think I might be wrestling less and singing more, so very pumped about that,” he said.
Hardy is gearing up for a busy stretch with his band, PeroxWhy?Gen. “The reason I’m getting back together with my band, PeroxWhy?Gen, is we’re going to be doing this big deal in September. It’s called Louder Than Life. It’s a festival. We have a 30-minute set,” he said. The prospect has the veteran feeling the nerves. “There’s so many big names on that card. I’m definitely terrified of that, but I’m so grateful for the opportunity. I’m just going to go out there and sing like a lunatic and hope for the best.”
The music will also collide with wrestling later in the year. “In November, my band is going to be on the Jericho cruise for the first time, and Matt’s actually going to be there too, so the Hardy Boyz are going to be on the Jericho cruise this year, and Jeff Hardy’s band PeroxWhy?Gen is going to be performing,” he said.
