Joe Hendry Still Has “A While” Left On His TNA Deal

Joe Hendry’s popularity with fans has taken off in recent months due to his work in TNA Wrestling and his appearances on WWE NXT TV.

The crossover between WWE and TNA has seen  TNA stars appear on NXT television and vice versa. Hendry, alongside Frankie Kazarian, was among the names in the battle royal several weeks ago to earn a shot to challenge for the NXT Title at Heatwave.

Hendry got a strong reaction before he was the first to be eliminated. He had a backstage segment with Shawn Michaels, during which he warned that he could appear on any brand. Hendry drew big social media numbers for the company.

At the end of Heatwave, a photo of Hendry was shown before the show went off the air, as it was reported that there are plans to use him ‘heavily’ in the coming weeks and months. On this week’s NXT, he showed up to do commentary and did a backstage segment with Gallus.

However, fans shouldn’t expect to see him sign a WWE contract anytime soon. Hendry appeared as a guest on Talk is Jericho this week, where he said, “We’ve got a while” regarding his TNA deal. No other details were given.
