Josh Alexander’s Impact Wrestling contract and US work visa have expired

Josh Alexander has announced that his Impact Wrestling contract has expired, which means that his US work visa is also up as a result.

The former World Heavyweight and X-Division Champion had been previously pulled from Impact Wrestling’s No Surrender special this Saturday. The Canadian is unable to work in the United States until that is resolved so he won’t be competing in a four-way elimination match at Terminus’ or an AML Wrestling event later this month.

Last week on Impact TV, the promotion did an angle where Impact VP Scott D’Amore removed Alexander from the five-on-five Team Impact vs. Honor No More match at No Surrender. It was said that he was “sent home.”

Prior to the angle, Alexander had been campaigning on television for a World Title rematch. He won the title and then lost it on the same night at last October’s Bound for Glory. Alexander first signed with Impact in 2018 and later signed a three-year deal in February 2019. He also held the Tag Team Titles with Ethan Page twice.
