Lance Storm returning to Impact Wrestling as a producer

Impact Wrestling recently announced the return of the Gut Check tryout, which is scheduled to take place at the Arnold Classic on March 6th. It was noted in the press release that Lance Storm would be in charge of the tryout along with John E. Bravo.

Storm opened up returning to Impact in this role during the latest Figure 4 Daily episode. When asked about his role in the company, Storm said, “Producer, coach, whatever you want to call it.” Regarding if he’s part of the booking team, “I’m quite sure Scott is willing to hear an idea or two if I happen to suggest one, but that is not part of my current job description.”

The former WWE/ECW/WCW star had worked as a producer for Impact in early 2019 before joining WWE in November of that year. He was furloughed in April 2020 as he was stuck in Canada and couldn’t make shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Storm added that this is the chance to make the decision he did a few years ago and wondered whether it’s karma telling him that he should’ve stayed with Impact instead of going to WWE as his stint in WWE was only for six months. Storm stated that he liked the atmosphere and people in Impact as well as always liking Scott D’Amore.

“I’m looking forward to it, it won’t be too long. I will be going to the New Orleans tapings and I will be overseeing Gut Check,” he said.
