As noted earlier, TNA Vice President Andy Barton left the company this week. Barton had worked for Dixie Carter dating back to 1996, many years before the launch of TNA. Carter had a public relations company and Barton was an executive for her there too.
Dave Meltzer noted in today’s Wrestling Observer daily update that Barton’s departure is a bigger story than is being played up. It will be interesting to see if Barton decides to do interviews because he was said to know more about the state of the company more than anyone except for Dixie Carter.
Obviously, his departure does not look good on the company especially with recent news of wrestlers leaving and people in production being behind on pay.
