Matt Hardy believes that AJ Styles will wrestle a match outside of WWE in 2026, specifically returning to the promotion where he became a household name: TNA Wrestling. During a “bold predictions” segment on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy stated he is “pretty certain” that Styles will make an appearance in TNA before his in-ring career concludes.
“I could see that… I think he’ll end up wrestling a match in TNA before it’s all said and done, pretty certain of it,” Hardy said. “I think AJ will wrestle a match outside of WWE at TNA.”
Despite this prediction, Hardy acknowledged Styles’ strong loyalty to WWE at this stage of his career. He clarified that he does not expect Styles to leave WWE for AEW, but rather that a TNA appearance could happen due to the current working relationship between WWE and TNA.
“I don’t think if he leaves WWE, though, I don’t think he will go to AEW,” Hardy explained. “I think he’s kind of like, I think he’s kind of a very WWE loyal dude at the stage of the game… But I don’t know. You never say never in pro wrestling, anything could change, and a lot of times, money talks big.”
