Matt Hardy has officially confirmed that he and his brother Jeff have re-signed with TNA Wrestling. Speaking on his The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the wrestling legend put an end to recent speculation regarding their contract status, declaring that the duo is locked in for the future.
A ‘Matt Fact’
During the podcast, Hardy addressed the rumors directly with one of his signature “Matt Facts,” confirming that the deal is sealed and citing the company’s new television situation as a key factor.
“Matt fact, Matt and Jeff have re-signed with TNA,” Hardy said. “We had been talking about this for a while, and once we knew this new TV deal was almost together. I mean, it’s been right on the it was on the verge of being all the way together. And then once that contract was done, we knew where we were going. We knew there was going to be some more money. We like this. This was our best choice, and it’s going to allow us to do some other cool things that everyone will learn about the future as well.”
WWE Partnership And Office Aspirations
Hardy elaborated on the benefits of the new agreement, specifically highlighting TNA’s ongoing relationship with WWE. He noted that their status as a “legacy act” could open doors for crossovers.
“We are in a partnership with WWE, so that means there is a possibility of maybe doing some WWE stuff as well, just because we are a WWE legacy act,” Hardy explained. “So it’s very cool that, you know, we have that relationship right now.”
Additionally, Matt expressed a desire to transition into a hybrid role where he can influence the product from behind the scenes while still competing in the ring.
“I almost feel like it’s time for me maybe to even kind of maybe move into a little bit of the office, still be an active competitor, but like, try and also contribute, contribute to the greater good of what we’re doing at TNA, AMC, everything else,” he said. “And like, if I can be a little more hands-on with idea pitching, even for different talents. I mean, there’s a lot of young talents that I see like, oh my god, I’d love to get them going in this direction.”
TNA is currently preparing for a major reset in 2026 as they move to AMC, a shift Hardy believes will significantly alter the wrestling landscape.
