More WWE Main Roster Stars Could Be Headed To TNA Slammiversary

The working relationship between WWE and TNA Wrestling could see its most significant crossover yet at this Sunday’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view. A new report has revealed that main roster WWE stars could be making an appearance at the event.

AJ Styles Appearance ‘Looks Likely’

Speaking on the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio, WrestleVotes addressed the recent speculation surrounding TNA President Carlos Silva’s “phenomenal” tweet. The report suggests that an appearance by “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles is a real possibility.

“We asked around about the phenomenal reference in TNA President Carlos Silva’s recent tweet, and one response we got back was quote, it would make total sense for AJ Styles to appear,” WrestleVotes stated, before adding, “AJ Styles, looks likely at this point.”

More Main Roster Talent Discussed

The report went on to say that Styles might not be the only main roster talent discussed for the show. This is in addition to the already-announced crossover matches featuring talent from WWE’s NXT brand.

“Another little nugget that we’re hearing amid the speculation there’s been talk within WWE that one or two main roster stars could be headed to TNA Slammiversary this Sunday night on Long Island,” the report said. “We have learned that discussions have transpired regarding other talent there as well Sunday night.”

The report of a potential AJ Styles appearance at a TNA event comes as he is currently involved in a storyline on WWE Raw. Styles is waiting for an update on the medical status of Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio to determine if their championship match for SummerSlam will be made official.
