After several TNA talents have denied that TNA pays most of the wrestlers on pay-per-appearance only contracts, a report by Pwinsider.com claims that TNA has changed the contracts with talents to pay-per-appearance deals.
A sizable portion of the roster has been informed over the last week that their current TNA contracts, which include a monthly guarantee, will be dropped by TNA. Now, TNA is offering per-appearance deals.
In the past, TNA would offer the talents a monthly sum of pay as well as an extra sum of pay when they appeared on a TNA show. Now, the talents will only get paid when they work TNA show. A change that has talents trying to book more indy dates to make up for that monthly sum of payment that they will not be getting any more.
Of course, the reason for this is because of TNA’s financial issues. TNA could keep some of their bigger talents under those monthly deals, but most of the roster will undergo the new contract change.
