Samoa Joe Names His TNA Mt. Rushmore

Former AEW World Champion Samoa Joe recently shared his personal picks for the Mount Rushmore of TNA Wrestling. Joe named four individuals he believes represent the pinnacle of the company’s history.

Joe’s list includes fellow legends AJ Styles and Kurt Angle, alongside two names he feels deserve special recognition: Abyss and Jeff Jarrett. “I think, AJ, Kurt, I put Abyss on there,” Joe stated, before adding Jeff Jarrett: “…eff [sic], I mean, he started the whole deal…”

He elaborated specifically on why Abyss made his list, emphasizing his often-overlooked contributions and physical sacrifices. “A lot of people don’t realize the amount of physical punishment and hurt and pain and effort that Abyss put into a lot of the matches to make them happen,” Joe explained. “I think he’s one of those underrated guys in the TNA lore. He really, really is.”

Regarding TNA founder Jeff Jarrett, Joe highlighted his foundational role. “…he started the whole deal and got it all rolling, and was a big, integral part of it for a long time,” Joe said. “So, I mean, those are the guys that I have up there.” His selections blend universally acclaimed stars with key figures whose contributions, particularly those of Abyss and Jarrett, Joe feels are essential to the TNA legacy.
