SPOILER: Former WWE Star Appearing at Impact Slammiversary as Mystery Partner for Scott D’Amore?

If you watched last night’s Impact Wrestling broadcast on AXS TV, then you probably saw the segment with Scott D’Amore where he teased that someone from his past would be returning to team with him on the Slammiversary pay-per-view. D’Amore and the mystery partner will be taking on Bully Ray and Deaner with former NHL star Darren McCarthy (Detroit Red Wings, Calgary Flames) as the special enforcer.

For what it’s worth, PWInsider reported today that Eric Young was seen at the Detroit airport, which supports the theory that he will be the person teaming with D’Amore. If that is indeed the case then it means that he is no longer with WWE. Young returned to the company last year to work as a Producer. Longtime TNA/Impact fans will remember that Young and D’Amore were part of Team Canada during the early years of the company.
