TNA held another Impact Wrestling TV taping on Monday night from Orlando, Florida at the Sound Stage 20 at Universal Studios. These matches will air most likely in September on Destination America.
– Jeff Jarrett walked down to the ring and cut a promo stating that he was happy to end his TNA career on a positive note. He revealed that he would be vacated the King of the Mountain title. This led to some TNA stars coming down to the ring to attack Jarrett, but some GFW stars ran down to make the save. There will be a King of the Mountain match also
– Singles match: Awesome Kong vs. Lei’D Tapa ended in a double count
– King of the Mountain qualifier match: Bobby Lashley defeated Jessie Godderz
– Bobby Roode cut a promo in the ring about not getting picked for the KOTM match. He cut a heel promo on Rockstar Spud about ending Austin Aries’ career. Spud walked down to the ring, but Roode quickly attacked and beat him down.
– Matt Hardy cut a promo in the ring about becoming the next TNA World Heavyweight Champion. EC3 with Tyrus walked down to the ring and beat down Hardy for those comments.
– Tag Team match: The Wolves defeated Brian Myers and Trevor Lee
– King of the Mountain qualifier match: PJ Black defeated Robbie E, Chris Masters, Lashley and Eric Young. Post-match, EC3 walked down to the ring and beat down Black.
– X-Division Title match: Tigre Uno © defeated Sonjay Dutt
– Mahabali Shera cut a promo in the ring, but was quickly attacked by James Storm.
– Chris Melendez cut a promo on Eric Young and demanded a rematch. EY accepts but Melendez has to put his leg on the line as part of a stipulation. That’s right, his leg on the line…
– Jeff Jarrett was revealed as the new GM of TNA. Jeff Jarrett booked PJ Black vs. EC3 for the World Heavyweight Title but EC3 refused. Karren Jarrett grabbed the microphone and stated that if EC3 doesn’t defend it then he’ll be stripped of the title.
– Singles match: Matt Hardy defeated Tyrus.
– TNA World Heavyweight Championship match: EC3 © defeated PJ Black.
– Singles match: Matt Hardy defeated Bobby Roode.
– No DQ match: Drew Galloway defeated Eli Drake.
– Handicap Steel Cage match: Gail Kim defeated Marti Belle and Jade.
