Steve Maclin Told TNA President Carlos Silva To ‘Sit Back In Your Cuck Chair’

Steve Maclin has confirmed that his exit from TNA was his own call.

After TNA announced the releases of Maclin and Myla Grace, the former TNA World Champion took to X to make clear he asked to leave and to tease what comes next.

“Last week I requested my release from TNA,” Maclin wrote. “I put my blood, sweat, and tears into everything I’ve done over the last 5 years and I’ll always be thankful for my time there. But now, it’s time to STACK BODIES. See you soon,” signing off with a whiskey-glass emoji.

Maclin spent five years with TNA after signing in 2021. The former WWE talent, who wrestled as Steve Cutler from 2014 to 2021, went on to become a one-time TNA World Champion in 2023 and two-time TNA International Champion.

In January, Maclin was written off television through the “Feast or Fired” stipulation, then returned to feud with TNA World Champion Mike Santana. He was reinstated in March, suffered a legitimate injury scare in his title match against Santana at Sacrifice (he was cleared of a concussion), and was in contract negotiations without a signed deal. He lost to Santana again on a May episode of Impact.

Recently, Maclin was shown on camera yelling at TNA President Carlos Silva at ringside, telling him to “sit back in your cuck chair!”

Maclin was not the only one to head out. TNA also released Knockouts talent Myla Grace, and according to Fightful Select, both Maclin and Grace requested their releases. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp added that Maclin had been openly frustrated with TNA’s creative direction and pay structure, with much of the roster now on short-term deals, and that Maclin had hoped to keep his departure quiet before the company issued its press release.

Maclin’s next destination is unconfirmed. He is married to Deonna “The Virtuosa” Purrazzo, currently a champion in Ring of Honor.
