Tessa Blanchard was victorious over Gia Miller in Miller’s official in-ring debut at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. The match, which was the culmination of a long and personal feud, ended in controversy after Blanchard used a roll of quarters to secure the pinfall.
The issues between the two women date back to Slammiversary, where Blanchard attacked Miller after a match, slamming her head into the ring steps. This led to a suspension for Blanchard and an intense war of words between the two, with Miller eventually agreeing to face Blanchard in the ring at TNA’s biggest event of the year.
The match saw interference early from Blanchard’s associate, Victoria Crawford, who was eventually ejected from ringside by security and Miller’s former tag team partner, Jody Threat. Miller took control of the match, hitting Blanchard with a Thesz Press and a dive to the outside for a two-count.
The turning point came when Blanchard pulled the padding off of a turnbuckle. As the referee was attempting to fix the exposed turnbuckle, Miller had Blanchard up for a powerbomb. With the referee’s back turned, Blanchard struck Miller with a roll of quarters and made the cover for the three-count. Click here for complete TNA Bound For Glory results.
