TNA Wrestling came close to bringing in CM Punk, according to Moose.
Following his AEW release in September 2023, CM Punk made a notable appearance at Impact Wrestling’s Chicago tapings after Bound For Glory in the crowd. He then returned to WWE in November 2023.
Moose revealed on Twitter/X that during his TNA World Championship reign, there were plans for Punk to join TNA and feud with him. In his post, Moose said he had wanted to recreate the intensity of Punk’s match with Brock Lesnar, which he considers a favorite, but acknowledged that the plans never materialized.
Moose wrote, “So while I was World Champ there were plans of Punk coming to TNA and us Feuding. Punk vs Lesnar from SS2013 is one of my favorites matches ever. I was looking forward to recreating something just as awesome. But Obviously it never happened but who Knows. Shout out to @CMPunk GOAT.”
