TNA Wrestling has adjusted the start time for Slammiversary to avoid running directly against AEW and NJPW’s Forbidden Door on June 28.
Ticket information for the event at Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, has been updated to reflect a 3 p.m. ET doors time, which would put the main show starting around 4 p.m. Forbidden Door, taking place at SAP Center in San Jose, California, is advertised with a 7 p.m. start, meaning TNA would be finishing before AEW begins rather than the two shows running simultaneously.
TNA announced Slammiversary’s date and location on April 9 as part of their full 2026 schedule reveal. A week later, on April 15, AEW confirmed Forbidden Door would take place on the same date. TNA President Carlos Silva addressed the situation on Busted Open Radio, where he alluded to other companies moving into TNA’s nights and attempting to block them from arenas and venues, without directly naming AEW. Those tensions contributed to Silva’s decision to pull TNA talent from prominent matches against AEW performers, most notably the cancellation of a planned match between Leon Slater and Ricochet at the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow. WrestleCon reimbursed Slater’s travel and hotel expenses following the cancellation.
Following Slammiversary, TNA’s next major event is Lockdown in Chicago, Illinois on August 23, one week before AEW’s All In: London on August 30. Bound for Glory is then scheduled for October 11 in Tampa, Florida.
