ORIGINAL: It looks like Smackdown’s move to Tuesday night on 7/19 might have an effect on TNA. There is serious talk within TNA about moving Impact Wrestling to Thursdays. Dave Meltzer reported this news on this morning’s Wrestling Observer Radio.

The concern is that Smackdown would take away from Impact’s viewership. It might not be such a bad idea for TNA so stay on Tuesday night’s for a few weeks as an experiment to see if some of the Smackdown audience tunes in for the second hour of Impact. Smackdown will air between 8 to 10pm so only the second hour would have gone opposite of Impact.

Meltzer noted that nothing is official but the feeling is that the move to Thursday is considered probable.
