TNA Wrestling has secured a significant new television home, but the announcement immediately sparked rumors regarding the status of its relationship with WWE. On Tuesday morning, TNA confirmed a multi-year agreement with AMC Networks. The deal will see the flagship program, TNA iMPACT!, move to AMC starting January 15, 2026. The show, rebranded as Thursday Night iMPACT!, will air from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
Shortly after the announcement, speculation surfaced suggesting the new deal had negatively impacted TNA’s ongoing collaboration with WWE. There was a rumor that WWE intended to end the NXT-TNA partnership, claiming the agreement included a 60-day termination clause that was activated by the move to AMC. The report further alleged that the new rights deal was valued at approximately $30 million.
TNA leadership has moved quickly to shut down the speculation. Speaking to The Takedown on SI, TNA President Carlos Silva refuted the claim that the partnership was dissolving. “Partnership is strong, and less than zero truth to it ending,” Silva stated. Another high-ranking TNA source was even more blunt regarding the report, describing it to the outlet as “100 percent bulls**t”. The Takedown noted that they reached out to WWE officials for comment but had not received a response by press time.
The partnership between WWE and TNA was formally announced in January, though it soft-launched the previous summer. The collaboration has seen significant roster crossovers between the two promotions. Notably, Joe Hendry served as a surprise opponent for Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 and appeared in the Royal Rumble match.
The relationship also featured title exchanges and major storylines. WWE NXT Superstar Trick Williams held the TNA World Championship, headlining major events like Slammiversary and Bound For Glory in 2025. Additionally, WWE’s Kelani Jordan enjoyed a run as the TNA Knockouts World Champion. The collaboration is set to continue in the immediate future, with Leon Slater scheduled to compete in the upcoming WWE NXT Iron Survivor Challenge.
