TNA President Responds To AJ Styles Slammiversary Rumors

TNA President Carlos Silva has addressed the recent speculation, sparked by his own social media post, that WWE star and TNA legend AJ Styles could appear at this Sunday’s Slammiversary pay-per-view.

Silva Reacts To AJ Styles Rumors

In a new interview with WrestleZone, Silva was asked about a recent tweet where he declared Slammiversary would be “PHENOMENAL,” a clear nod to Styles’ famous nickname. Silva gave a coy response that did not confirm or deny the rumor.

“Really nothing more than what’s in the Tweet. It’s going to be a phenomenal night, and yeah, there’s someone, as you know, ‘Phenomenal’ is a big part of their walkout,” Silva said. “We think it’s going to be a phenomenal night and see how it goes, but it’s exciting.”

A Foundational Figure And A Sold-Out Show

Silva praised Styles for his legacy in the company, calling him a “foundational, historical wrestler that has made TNA what it is today.” He then offered a practical reason for his choice of words, explaining that due to high ticket demand for Slammiversary, they had to add 700 seats to the floor of the UBS Arena, and he wanted to promote what a “phenomenal night” it was shaping up to be for the company.

While TNA fans continue to speculate, AJ Styles is currently involved in a storyline on WWE Raw. He is waiting for the results of Dominik Mysterio’s medical evaluation to determine if he will be challenging for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam next month. This WWE commitment would make a potential appearance at TNA’s Slammiversary this Sunday a major surprise.
