TNA Projects Slammiversary To Be Largest U.S. Crowd In Company History

TNA Wrestling has provided a major update on ticket sales for this Sunday’s Slammiversary pay-per-view, announcing that the event is on track to be a historic, record-breaking night for the company. The show will emanate from the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.

In a statement posted to the company’s social media channels, TNA shared several significant milestones. TNA Wrestling confirmed that all floor seats are officially sold-out for this Sunday’s showcase event at the UBS Arena in New York.

A Record-Breaking Projection

The company went on to make two major projections for the event’s attendance. Slammiversary will be the biggest attendance of any TNA show in more than 10 years, and it is projected to be the largest crowd at any TNA Wrestling live event in the U.S. in company history.

This would be a landmark achievement for TNA, which has seen a significant resurgence in buzz and momentum since rebranding and forging a partnership with WWE at the start of 2024. Slammiversary will be the 21st event under the Slammiversary chronology and will celebrate the promotion’s 23rd anniversary.

How To Watch TNA Slammiversary

The event will be available to purchase and stream live in the United States and internationally through the TrillerTV (formerly FITE) service and the TNA+ streaming app. It is also available to order via traditional cable and satellite pay-per-view providers.

Three-Way Match for the TNA World Championship: Trick Williams (c) vs. Joe Hendry vs. Mike Santana The main event stems from NXT Battleground, where Trick Williams defeated Joe Hendry to win the TNA World Championship. This marked the first time a TNA title changed hands at a WWE event and the first time a WWE-contracted talent held a TNA championship. Since winning, Williams has disparaged TNA’s legacy, vowing to mold it into “TrickNA.” On the June 26 episode of TNA Impact!, Joe Hendry was granted his official rematch by Director of Authority Santino Marella. However, Mike Santana later demanded to be added to the match, citing interference from First Cla$$ in his own previous title shot on NXT. Marella later made it official, creating a three-way match for the title.

Title vs. Title Match: Masha Slamovich (TNA Knockouts World Champion) vs. Jacy Jayne (NXT Women’s Champion) This historic match was born after NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne upstaged both TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich and top contender Ash by Elegance. The following week, Jayne’s NXT group, Fatal Influence, ambushed Slamovich after a match. In response, a Title vs. Title match was announced for Slammiversary, with the winner taking home both championships.

Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander This match is the result of Mustafa Ali’s “downward spiral” after losing at Rebellion. Ali became increasingly aggressive and abusive towards his cabinet, Order 4. Tasha Steelz, a member of the group, secretly called Ali’s old rival, Cedric Alexander, to try and talk sense into him. Ali refuted Alexander’s offer, expressing jealousy over their past rivalry, and challenged him to a match at Slammiversary, which Alexander accepted.

Four-Way Tag Team Ladder Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship: The Nemeths (c) vs. The Hardys vs. The Rascalz vs. Fir$t Cla$$ Four of TNA’s top tag teams will collide in a chaotic ladder match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

TNA X Division Championship Match: Moose (c) vs. Leon Slater At Against All Odds, Leon Slater secured a pinfall victory over TNA X Division Champion Moose during an eight-man tag team match. This victory put him in direct contention for the title, and Santino Marella officially announced the championship match for Slammiversary.

TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship Match: The Elegance Brand (c) vs. The IInspiration The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay) made their return to TNA after three years at Against All Odds, confronting champions The Elegance Brand. After weeks of scouting each other and a brief altercation during a meet-and-greet, TNA announced that The IInspiration will officially challenge for the titles at the pay-per-view.

Singles Match: Tessa Blanchard vs. Indi Hartwell Former TNA World Champion Tessa Blanchard will face NXT’s Indi Hartwell in a singles match. The two were the final competitors eliminated simultaneously by Ash by Elegance in a recent number one contender’s battle royal.
