TNA Star Reacts To ‘Fake News’ About The Locker Room Morale And Title Status

TNA Wrestling is experiencing ongoing changes as the promotion, which hasn’t been this hot in years, heads into 2025. Several stars have either departed from the promotion already or are expected to do so once the new year hits due to contracts expiring.

There have been rumors about talent being asked to take pay cuts, with some staying while others opting to leave. Dr. Chris Featherstone reported earlier this week that sources told him “the current rumors surrounding talent leaving due to pay cuts are “inaccurate” and should not be believed due to it not being true. The current morale within TNA backstage has been very positive with the increase of ticket sales and returning to larger venues for major events.”

And then there’s the situation with the X-Division Title at the recent set of TV tapings. Fans in attendance noted that TNA X-Division Champion Moose did a promo in the ring where he threw down his X-Division Championship and declared that a new championship would debut at Genesis. Moose took to Twitter to address these rumors when he wrote the following:

“A lot of Fake News on Twitter.

  1. X Division championship being retired
  2. Bad morale in TNA locker room.

Guys stop getting your news from twitter.    Regarding what’s going to happen to the X division championship tune in to @AXSTV Thursday at 8pm EST and order GENESIS 1/19/25.”
