TNA Star Trey Miguel to Undergo Hernia Surgery After Slammiversary

TNA star Trey Miguel has announced that he will be undergoing hernia surgery, but not before he competes at this weekend’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. The former X-Division Champion revealed the news on his personal X account, assuring fans that he made the choice to wrestle through the injury.

A Difficult Decision

In his social media post, Miguel explained that he was presented with a choice regarding the timing of his surgery and opted to postpone it so he could perform at one of TNA’s biggest shows of the year.

“After Slammiversary I will undergo hernia surgery,” Miguel wrote. “I was given a choice and I chose to be there. I will give it my absolute best because that’s what @ThisIsTNA deserves and you the fans.”

A Positive Outlook

Miguel assured his followers that the procedure is not expected to be a major setback for his career. He expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support he has received from fans since announcing the news.

“A full recovery is expected as this is a minor surgery,” he continued. “Thank you all for the well wishes and messages. Apologies to anyone I missed and didn’t get to reply to.”

As a founding member of The Rascalz, Trey Miguel is a two-time former TNA X Division Champion and a former TNA World Tag Team Champion. He and his partner, Zachary Wentz, are scheduled to compete at Slammiversary in a four-way ladder match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship against the champions, The Nemeths, The Hardys, and Fir$t Cla$$.
