TNA Wrestler Announces Departure

Laredo Kid, an international star and former TNA Digital Media Champion, has announced his departure from TNA Wrestling. In a post on his Instagram account, the luchador thanked the company and its fans for their support during his tenure and indicated that he is now on a “new path” in his career. His exit comes after a multi-year run with the promotion that saw him compete in the X-Division and hold championship gold.

In his social media post, Laredo Kid expressed his gratitude for his time in TNA. “gracias por todo a esta gran compañia y gran familia @tnawrestling , agradezco por su gran apoyo que me brindaron ,espero regresar a trabajar en un futuro. Ahora vamos por nuevos caminos,” he wrote, which translates to: “Thank you for everything to this great company and family. I appreciate your tremendous support. I hope to return to work in the future. We’re on a new path.”

Laredo Kid’s most recent run with TNA began in 2021, where he quickly became a staple of the X-Division, frequently challenging for the X-Division Championship. His persistence paid off in April 2024 at the Rebellion pay-per-view, where he defeated Crazzy Steve to capture the TNA Digital Media Championship, his first title with the promotion. He held the championship for a month before losing it to AJ Francis.

Most recently, he had formed a tag team with Octagón Jr. known as the Aztec Warriors. This was his second stint with the company, having previously made appearances for the promotion, then known as Impact Wrestling, between 2017 and 2019. Throughout his career, Laredo Kid has made appearances for promotions around the world. He has had multiple stints in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, where he is a two-time and the current reigning AAA World Cruiserweight Champion.

He has also made special appearances for AEW, most notably at the inaugural Fyter Fest event in 2019, where he teamed with the Lucha Brothers. In 2025, he even made a surprise appearance in WWE, competing in a fatal four-way match for the NXT North American Championship at the Worlds Collide event.
