TNA Wrestling has had a strong year following the rebranding of Impact Wrestling and changes with Scott D’Amore’s departure. The promotion has also entered into a working relationship with WWE.
They could be without one of its top stars. Josh Alexander’s original TNA deal was slated to expire on February 14th before it was extended days before.
TNA had him under a two-year deal with an option to be extended, which is what happened. Alexander’s current deal expires on February 14, 2025. Alexander has been a top star for promotion over the last few years and has won multiple titles, including the World Heavyweight Title.
Speaking with WrestleManiac UK, Alexander stated he can’t say he wants to leave TNA, but he’s never been a free agent and has seen what offers are out there from other companies. He signed his first deal six years ago, and it was with TNA. He re-signed three years ago, but now, he plans to test out the market as he doesn’t want to do himself and his family a disservice by not seeing what’s out there.
He cited following his heart his entire life and will do that with this decision to see where his heart takes him.
