Top TNA Stars Departing Soon?

TNA Wrestling could be losing out on two of its top stars soon.

Changes

The promotion has undergone changes in recent months. Impact Wrestling brought back the TNA brand at the Hard to Kill pay-per-view event in January, making it TNA’s most successful pay-per-view event ever.

However, since then, Scott D’Amore has been removed as TNA President and Anthony Cicione is replacing him, leaving talent upset with management. TNA’s next PPV event will be Rebellion from the Palms Casino Resort on April 20.

Gone?

Pwinsider reports that The Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, will be working for Smash Wrestling in London, Ontario, on April 21, the same date as the post-PPV TV tapings. This is interesting, considering TNA would usually use them for the tapings.

The report noted, “The belief among some we have spoken with is that Shelley and Sabin’s existing TNA deals are expiring shortly, possibly as soon as the end of March.” By them working the indy show instead of the tapings, it may indicate that a deal is not expected to be reached between the two sides.

They formed the tag team in 2007 and have found success in every promotion they’ve worked for, including ROH and NJPW. While in TNA, they both held the World and X-Division Titles. Together, they’re three-time Tag Team Champions.
