Two TV Networks Rumored As Potential Broadcast Partners For TNA Wrestling

A new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shed light on the ongoing negotiations for a new television deal for TNA Wrestling. The report names A&E and The CW as rumored suitors and notes that WWE would likely be involved in any potential deal.

A&E And The CW Rumored As Potential Homes For TNA

In the latest edition of the newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that both A&E and The CW have been rumored as potential new broadcast partners for TNA. He noted that due to the working relationship between the two wrestling promotions, WWE would have been involved in the discussions with either network.

A Potential Move To Wednesday Nights?

Meltzer also analyzed the potential broadcast night for TNA’s weekly show. He noted that for WWE’s strategic purposes, having TNA air on Wednesday night to compete directly with AEW Dynamite would be the “best night.” However, he also pointed out that Sunday could make sense for A&E, as they could use TNA as a lead-in for the WWE reality series “LFG,” which is reportedly underperforming in the ratings.

This report on potential network partners comes just weeks after TNA President Carlos Silva provided his own update on the situation. During an appearance on the Ariel Helwani Show, Silva stated that the company was “close” to securing a deal with a “bigger platform” and that an announcement could be made within a 60-90 day window. The new report suggests that A&E or The CW could be that platform.
