For those of you that missed this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling, or even for those of you that do not keep up with Impact on a weekly basis, you might want to check out the wedding segment that took place at the end of the show.
Braxton Sutter was set to marry Lauren Van Ness. The problem is that Sutter never wanted to marry Laurel and he was only doing it because he was told that if he didn’t follow through with the marriage then Allie (the woman he really loves) would be fired by Maria and she would lose everything.
This storyline had been building for many months with several teases that Allie would finally break away from Maria. I should note that everyone in this segment did a tremendous job. Maria was great and she always comes off natural on the microphone. I was a fan of the reactions from Rockstar Spud and Aron Rex. Braxton did a tremendous job as well, including his reaction to seeing Allie walk down the aisle. Laurel did an amazing job as the spoiled and rich bridezilla that fans wanted to see get beat up by Allie. But Allie may have stolen the segment with her facial reactions. They have done an excellent job at turning her into a sympathetic character and it showed because the crowd was really into this segment.
It will be interesting to see where things go from here because Jeff Jarrett and his crew will be in charge at the next TV tapings. But, you can check out the entire wedding angle in the video below:
