It’s almost time for one of the most anticipated boxing matches of the year.
In June, Andy Ruiz pulled off a shocking upset as a 15-1 underdog against Anthony Joshua. Ruiz’s win drew comparisons to Buster Douglas’ upset win over Mike Tyson in 1990.
Now, Joshua has the chance to redeem himself as he has invoked his rematch clause and he hopes to become a two-time unified heavyweight champion.
At the weigh-ins on Friday, Ruiz weighed in 15 pounds heavier than his previous fight. He weighed in at 283 pounds while Joshua weighed in at 237 pounds, 10 pounds lighter than the last fight.
Will it make a difference? We’ll find out today when they step into the ring again.
