Anthony Johnson on his fight with Jon Jones: ‘if I have to wait a year to fight him then I will’

Anthony Johnson, who is scheduled to challenge Jon Jones for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 187, appeared on a special episode of UFC Tonight to comment on Jones’ arrest and if he is still planning on fighting Jones at UFC 187.

“I only want to fight for the title,” Johnson said. “I feel like I’ve worked my way up to being the No. 1 contender, and I plan on staying that way. Unless it’s for a title, I don’t want to be like Vitor and wait a year. But if I have to, I will.”

UFC 187 goes down on May 23 from Las Vegas a the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The event will air live on pay-per-view, Fox Sports 1, and UFC Fight Pass.
