MAIN CARD (Spike TV, 9 p.m. ET)
Arlene Blencowe vs. Marloes Coenen
Round 1: They come out scraping right away. Coenen shot in and landed a single leg takedown. She got into side control less than a minute into this round. Blencowe sprawls, but Coenen gets her back and lands some knees to the back of Blencowe. Coenen gets the back mount and worked over Blencowe with strikes. Coenen couldn’t put away Blencowe in the first round and therefore we go to the second round.
Round 2: Coenen gets a double leg takedown within the first opening round. Its too easy for her. Coenen went for an armbar, but Blencowe slammed her way out of it and to her feet. Blencowe shot in and got a single leg takedown, which is surprising. Coenen went for an armbar as Blencowe spins away from her, but it’s too tight and Blencowe taps.

Josh Burns vs. Justin Wren
Round 1: Both men come out throwing bombs, Wren tagged him with a right hook then clinched with him. Burns put him on the fence, to further the beating. They separated as Burns was getting the better of the two in exchanges. Burns is bleeding from his right temple. Wren tagged him over and over with a right hand. Wren clinched with Burns on the fence. Burns with a series of knees to the face of Wren.
Round 2: Wren is tired going into this round and that allows Wren to connect with multiple jabs that leads to the nose of Burns being busted. Ouch. Wren with a major straight right that rocked Burns. Wren stayed calm and continued to stand his ground. Wren with a major knee to the jaw of Burns that hurt him. Wren poured more of them on and tried to finish the fight, but Burns stayed in it. Burns is bleeding from his left eye.
Round 3: A much slower round as these two big men are visibly tired. They throw some strikes that really have no effect on one another. Burns tried to make a late round comeback, but couldn’t get the job done as he was laying in some heavy strikes to the body of Wren.
Result: Justin Wren def. Josh Burns via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26)
Co-main event: Saad Awad vs. Patricky Freire
Round 1: There’s a feeling out process to begin the round. Not a ton of action in this round. The two fighters threw some leg kicks, but a lot of hesitation and not a ton of movement that resulted in the crowd being quiet.
Round 2: Freire got a double leg takedown about two minutes into the round and locked in full guard where he worked over Awad with elbows. Complete ground and pound. At 1:50, Awad made his way to his feet after a brief sprawl.
Round 3: Both men are more aggressive than previous rounds. Freire works over the body and legs of Awad with his excellent kickboxing skills. Awad tried to use his jabs to get inside the range of Freire and it started to work in the later stages of this fight. With just ten seconds left in the fight, Freire shot in on a double leg, but was stuffed.
Result: Patricky Freire def. Saad Awad via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Main Event: Melvin Guillard vs. Brandon Girtz
Round 1: Girtz hurt him with a straight left that dropped him right out of the gate. Girtz with a double leg takedown that leads to side control. Girtz with a series of elbows to the face of Guillard. Girtz went for a keylock, but Guillard fought out of it. Girtz worked over Guillard in this position for the remainder of this round.
Round 2: They have a slow start to this round until a minute and half into the round is where Girtz got a double leg takedown. He went for an armbar, but Guillard scrambled to his feet at 2:45 remaining. Girtz blitzed Guillard with strikes as Guillard’s left eye is swollen shut. Guillard rushed Birtz but ate a left hook for his troubles. With forty-five seconds remaining, Birtz landed a single leg takedown. Just seconds later, Guillard scrambled to his feet. They exchange to the bell.
Round 3: Birtz quickly got the double leg takedown and got into side control. Birtz could do anything in this fight and showed it often. They were stood up due to inactivity. Guillard blitzed him with a late round onslaught of strikes. Birtz with a hip toss into guard with thirty seconds remaining in the fight.
