Chael Sonnen announced is retirement tonight on UFC Tonight at the start of the show. Yesterday the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced that Sonnen had failed a drug test in May. Sonnen had anastrozole and clomiphene in his system. The test failure canceled the upcoming bout he had with Vitor Belfort on July 5th.
Sonnen thanked people in his career, Anderson Silva, Fox, his family, and his training partners. Sonnen said that he wanted to retire so he could have kids with his wife.
