Chael Sonnen was on UFC Tonight and talked about the fight card change for July 5th. Sonnen said that the Nevada Athletic Commission attempted to give Silva a surprise drug test but Silva refused. A refusal of a drug test constitutes a test failure.
Chael said that Dana White told him that Silva was out and that Vitor Belfort agreed to fight him. Chael said that since Belfort was the number 1 contender for the Middleweight title after Chris Weidman vs. Lyoto Machida that he wanted to be number 1 contender if he beat Belfort. That has been agreed to.
