Chael Sonnen received a two year suspension today at the Nevada State Athletic Commission hearing for his drug test failures. Sonnen failed for five different banned substances. Sonnen said that he didn’t want to give a defense and said that he was guilty. He says that the only other drug in his system, other than the ones that he tested positive for, was ambien. Sonnen also has to pay the costs of his tests and the costs of the flight and lodging of Dr. Daniel Eichner. He had to fly in for the hearing. He also made an agreement not to seek a license anywhere and will be working with the commission to help get rid of Performance Enhancing Drugs and help close loopholes in the testing.
