Over the weekend, there was a big rumor going around that former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz could potentially fight former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio, also known as Alberto El Patron.
This comes after Ortiz signed a contract with Combate Americas.
Campbell McLaren, who is the CEO of the promotion, recently did an interview with Fansided where he downplayed this possible fight. He brought up how the two Superstars looked friendly with each other at last Friday’s Reinas event in Los Angeles. He would add that it didn’t look like a fight to him.
“Usually you want a bad guy,” he said. “Neither of them are really bad guys. You saw them earlier. Did they look like they were going to fight? They were very friendly. Didn’t look like a fight to me.”
He also mentioned that Ortiz’s debut is planned for this October and will take place in either Mexico or the United States.
