UFC star Conor McGregor was arrested on Monday in Miami Beach.
Police say McGregor destroyed a fan’s cellphone when the man tried to take a photo of McGregor.
The arrest report states that the victim walked up to McGregor at the Fountainbleau Hotel on Miami Beach so he could take a picture. McGregor allegedly slapped the phone out of the man’s hand and then stomped on it several times. McGregor then allegedly picked up the smashed phone and then walked away with it. The incident was captured on surveillance video.
McGregor was not arrested on the scene but investigators spent the day doing investigative work and they later found him at a home in Miami Beach.
McGregor is facing robbery and criminal mischief charges. He is being held on $12,500 bond at Miami-Dade County’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
