Conor McGregor signs eight-fight deal with UFC

Conor McGregor is not leaving UFC anytime soon.

It was reported by ESPN’s Darren Rovell on Thursday night that the former Lightweight Champion has signed an eight-fight deal with the promotion.

UFC President Dana White said that McGregor would make the most money ever in the sport. The deal includes promotion for McGregor’s Proper Whiskey as a sponsor at all events where he fights.

White said that the UFC 229 fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov is included in the eight-fight deal and the numbers are trending towards 2.5 million buys, which would shatter the 1.6 million pay-per-view record for McGregor’s fight with Nate Diaz at UFC 202.
