Cris “Cyborg” Justino is certain that a fight with Ronda Rousey will happen

Invicta women’s featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino appeared on Sportscenter on Wednesday to talk about the possibility of dropping down to 135 and fighting the UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.

In that interview, Justino stated that she thinks a fight with Rousey will be happening in the near future.

“This fight has to happen,” Cyborg said. “If the UFC thinks I don’t deserve this fight, don’t do it for me. Do it for all the fans.”

“I’m ready for this fight for a long time,” Cyborg said. “But if it don’t happen now, it wont happen. If the UFC want to make this fight happen, they can make it happen. Tomorrow, I would take this fight. I’m ready.”

For years now we have heard about the possibility of UFC president Dana White finally booking this highly anticipated fight between the two, but it never took place as Rousey won’t go up in weight and Justino previously stated that she wouldn’t drop down weight.

Rousey has brought up that Justino was on steroids in the past, which is something that Justino dislikes hearing about very much.

“She cannot say anything about my doping,” Cyborg said. “It was 2011. I have passed six tests and the same exams she’s doing because we’re in the same organization now.”

“I don’t think it’s right she can say something she cannot prove.”

It has upset her so much that she is threatening to sue Rousey for Slander.

Justino has recently stated that she would be attempting to drop down in weight so that she would have to fight Rousey. Dana White claims that Justino would have to fight at least once in the bantamweight division before she would be able to fight Rousey.

Justino stated that her fight with Rousey will be a different kind of fight compared to Rousey’s previous bouts.

“You’ll see,” Cyborg said. “Violence.”
