Dan Henderson plans to finish out his UFC contract no matter what happens at UFC Fight Night 68



Dan Henderson (30-13) is scheduled to fight #13 Tim Boetsch (18-8) tonight at UFC Fight Night 68 and stated in a recent interview with Fox Sports.com that he plans on finishing out his UFC contract even if he loses at UFC Fight Night 68.

“It is just another fight, but at the same time I put pressure on myself to win every fight, probably a little more coming off a couple of losses for sure. I never tell myself if I lose I’m done. I’m going to definitely finish out my contract and see where things go after that. My body feels great so I’m going to keep going,” Henderson told FOX Sports on Wednesday.

Henderson 14 KOs, 2 submissions, 14 decision wins in his career and is currently on a two-fight losing streak. Four of his losses have come by submissions, he has a deadly right hands he’s also the only man to knock outRenzo Gracie. In his last five bouts, he’s 1-4. He lost to Rashad Evans at UFC 131 by split decision, he was knocked out in 1:17 by Vitor Belfort in November of 2013., but then rebounded with a win over Shogun Rua in the third round by TKO in March of 2014. He then lost back-to-back fights against Daniel Cormier at UFC 173 by third-round RNC and then was knocked out in the first round by Gegard Mousasi in January of 2015.

“I’ve got this fight and two more on my contract so I’ll be here at least another year.”

UFC Fight Night 68 takes place on June 6, 2015 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and will air on Fox Sports 1. The main event will be a middleweight battle between Dan Henderson and #13 Tim Boetsch while the co-main event will be a heavyweight bout between #12 Matt Mitrione vs. #10 Ben Rothwell.
