Dave Jansen predicts that he will finish Will Brooks in the first round

Dave Jansen (20-2) will be challenging Will Brooks (15-1) for the lightweight title this Friday at Bellator 136 and spoke about the upcoming fight.

“I don’t know what he’s really going to present that’s going to be a danger to me,” he said. “I’m going to have an extra two rounds to put the nail in the coffin. That’s something I’ve been looking forward to my entire fight career. He doesn’t have the intestinal fortitude to survive the gut check that I’m going to present him with.

“But talk is cheap and actions are louder than words, so I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m prepared for the worst, and I’m expecting the best, so it’s going to end in the first round. I’m going to get it done in the first round. Every time I go through this fight in my head, it’s always over in the first round.”

Bellator 136: Brooks vs. Jansen will take place April 10, 2015 at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California. The event will air live in primetime on Spike TV.
