Ex-Bellator champion suspended three years following failed drug test

Ex-Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko was suspended by the California State Athletic Commission today after failing his post-fight drug test for steroid oxandrolone and oxandrolone metabolites as well as a testosterone-to-epitestosterone (T/E) ratio of 50-1.

The commission gave him a hefty three years suspension as well as $10,000 fine and overturned his knockout win over Melvin Manhoef at Bellator 133.
